Chef Ruedi Elsener

Chef Ruedi joined the culinary team as the Executive Chef in October of 1999. A native of Switzerland Chef Ruedi has spent the last 30 years working as Chef for large 5 Star Resorts throughout Europe and most recently in Denver and Vail.

Chef Ruedi began his career in Switzerland where he learned traditional Swiss and Bavarian Cuisine. Over the years Chef Ruedi's cooking style has changed with the times and with his experiences. He now brings to the Red Lion updated and modernized traditional European Cuisine with strong influences from German-American flavors.

Chef Ruedi has also received his certification as an Executive Chef, from The Culinary School in Zurich: a high honor in the culinary world.

As Executive Chef of the Restaurant Chef Ruedi leads a culinary team of 10 professionals. The Red Lion Restaurant and Chef Ruedi's cuisine have once again been recognized this year with the AAA Four Diamond Award and the Best Wild Game in town.

The Red Lion Restaurant is Independent Family Owned and open for dinner for the last 47 Years. We host weddings, rehearsal dinners, business meetings, private luncheons and parties. Casual dining is also available in the Main Dinning Room and on the Red Lion's newly constructed Outdoor Patio and the Romantic Boulder Creek-Side.
